OZZYBEE RECORDS A HUGE SUCCESS IN HIS VALENTINE CONCERT WITH ORPHANS
The highly anticipated and well publicized event “OZZYBEE IN VALENTINE CONCERT WITH ORPHANS” organized 14th February 2017 was more than successful to say the least. The event which had lots of media support alongside brands can be described as top classical. Orphanage homes and children from various schools in their mass turnout were duly accredited.
The event kicked off by 11am prompt at the huge Adewale Martin’s hall at St Leo, Toyin Street, Ikeja Lagos Nigeria with legendary standup comedian/MC Koffi as the Master of Ceremony. Shortly after the razzmatazz that featured a variety of energetic stage plays and games the MC mounted the stage to kick start the program with a short prayer led by a 10 year old pupil from one of the schools that were present.
One of the major highlights of the event was the presentation of the melodious national anthem led by the Nigerian Army Steel Band. The feeling of excitement & high expectation was obvious and the band so colorful in their beautiful shades of green attire.
Shortly after, the MC began to introduce the guests of honour which included notable personalities like Engr. David Ifezulike Chairman Nestle Foods Plc; Veteran Flutist Dr. Tee Mac; Mrs Helen Odeleye AGM, NTA 10 Prince Ifeanyi Dike of Nollywood; A-list artistes Ruggedy Baba, Vector Tha Viper, Lamboginny . The MC also acknowledged the huge turnout of Media personalities and presenters who were present at the event. In his remark, he specially acknowledged the presence of Saint Monica’s Orphanage Home which happens to be OzzyBee’s charity, Lady Atinuke School for the physically challenged, children from various schools and their guardians who by this time have filled the hall to capacity and more still arriving.
A member of the OzzyBosco Smile Foundation (OSF) Hon Ralph Nwafor came on stage to explain the purpose of the event which are; honouring his adopted charity home St Monica’s Orphanage with an award, showing love to fellow children, celebrating his belated Birthday and unveiling his latest hot video CHARLIE DANCE. According to Mr Ralph, OzzyBee in his own words said “My mission is put smiles on the faces of children, especially the underprivileged”.
He also introduced OzzyBee’s short documentary tagged THE JOURNEY SO FAR which described the amazing success story of child star OzzyBee and how he started his musical career after winning season 7, Kids Got Talent Competition at the tender age of four.
OzzyBee also had a wonderful time at the red carpet with lots of media houses who took turns to interview him and the other children in their beautiful school uniforms. Soon after, he made a magnificent debut entry into the hall and was highly cheered by the mammoth crowd who eagerly awaited the arrival of their icon.
For his first appearance OzzyBee in his stunning red & white agbada with a matching cap stormed the stage to render the acapella of his ever green first song titled SUPERSTAR and the excited children chorused along. This was followed by a mixture of two other songs, TININI ft Olamide and YOU REIGN ft Midnight Crew and Dr Tee Mac. After this debut appearance, came the breathtaking stage acts from various artistes, comedians, schools, St Monica’s Orphanage and Chrisland School which delivered captivating ballet drama.
OzzyBee took the stage again with his second performance, this time it was the popular heart lifting SMILE AGAIN song which he dedicated to the Internally Displaced Children. The song/act evoked emotions as faces beamed with broad smiles throughout
It was pure estacy when he performed his latest song CHARLIE DANCE alongside Vector and Ruggedman whom he featured in the track. Together they set the stage on fire and attracted a standing ovation from children and adults alike. Thereafter OzzyBee presented a prestigious award to St Monica Orphanage Home for their consistency in taking care of the under-privileged children. There was obvious joy on the faces of the Reverend Sisters Orphanage children. He then proceeded to the cutting of his birthday cake with his family members, celebrities and children.
The colourful and well attended event enjoyed the support of major brands including May and Baker plc who fed well over 2000 children with their yummy Mimee Instant Noodles.
The schools and other attendees took time to endorse OzzyBee’s pet project “Stop Child Cruelty”.
